Formed by Dave and Geraldine in December 2003, Avon Leisure Cruises Ltd operates a 70’ luxury steel cruiser named Spirit of Freedom on Avon, licensed to carry 53 passengers and crew and operates throughout the year for Business or Pleasure.
The vessel has been modified to include two hydraulic wheelchair lifts enabling disabled and those physically challenged passengers to board with ease – certainly making the cruise “Accessible for All”. She is centrally heated, with onboard toilet facilities (including disabled & baby changing), licensed bar, galley and low level viewing windows.
During its first year of operation in 2004, the company were delighted to receive the Gold Certificate in the Heart of England Tourism for All Awards and Bronze winners in 2005.
